Grilled Mahi Mahi with Strawberry Basil Salsa Recipe

  1. 1 lb. Mahi Mahi

  2. 1/4 teaspoon Kosher Salt

  3. 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper

  4. 1/4 teaspoon Smoked Paprika

  5. 1/8 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

  6. 3 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  7. 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice

  8. Strawberry Basil Salsa

  9. 6 Large Strawberries, diced

  10. 2 tablespoons Fresh Basil, chopped or torn (sprig removed)

  11. 1/8 cup Red Onion, chopped

  12. 1/4 teaspoon Salt

  13. 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder

  14. 3 teaspoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  15. 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice

    Mahi Mahi

    1. Season fish on both sides with the salt, pepper, paprika, and cayenne.

    2. Add the extra virgin olive oil to a cast iron grill pan and allow to heat for about two minutes on medium.

    3. Add fish to the pan and allow to cook for approximately five minutes.

    4. Flip the fish, and allow to cook for an additional three minutes.

    5. Remove from pan and allow to rest for about 5 minutes before topping with strawberry salsa and serving.

    Strawberry Basil Salsa

    1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix with hands or spoon until ingredients are well incorporated.
