Dan McQuade

I am a senior marketing & business development executive with expertise in providing branding & marketing services, business development strategies across all sales channels.

I have created and executed full-scale consumer branding programs from conception thru commercialization, including brand strategy and positioning, product development, packaging design, category management, the logistics of getting it on-shelf, and developing promotions utilizing emerging social and digital technologies to deliver sustainable product growth. Throughout the course of my career, I have created, worked with, and volunteered at many CSR and non-profit organizations in capacities ranging from being a founder, president, executive board member, and trustee providing over $7M in grants to a wide range of non-profit institutions focusing on education, and health and wellness programs.

Since 2009, I have been a noted speaker and marketing counselor for the Small Business Development Center at Columbia University (in association with the SBA). I continue to present workshops on marketing, branding, and workplace effectiveness to both new business entrepreneurs and expanding small business ventures.

In January 2013, I joined Dr. Jack McGourty, founder of Venture for All®, an affiliate of the Columbia Business School, as a director/adjunct professor developing the frameworks for a suite of world-class business school programs, delivering the classes globally both in-country and online. Venture for All® is a global initiative whose mission is to enhance the entrepreneurial ecosystem in emerging markets through education and mentorship.

Currently, I am a Co-founder of KnowSeafood, a DTC Seafood platform for consumers who care where their food comes from. KnowSeafood is the direct-to-home seafood marketplace that is transforming how people purchase and enjoy seafood by bringing unparalleled levels of trust, transparency, variety, and quality to seafood sourcing.

Asked why at my age by an investor...I'm not finished yet!
