This is the second box I have gotten from KnowSeafood. I actually planned to make a video review because of how much I enjoy this box, but life just got a little busy- so maybe next time. In any case, we are trying to add more fish to our diet. However, we are land locked and don't have a wide variety of fish at the local grocery. We do have specialty stores, but it is a little bit of a drive and I would have to make a special trip. In any case, since the grocery store options are frozen and then thawed for the fish counter, this really is no different other than it comes right to my door. Also this is more affordable way for me to buy fish than buying these individual items around here. Both boxes I bought shipped on Sundays and arrived the following Wednesday. The boxes were not compromised during shipment- the product remained fully frozen. The fish also look good and there has been no fishy smell upon defrosting. I am very happy with the variety that came in the individual boxes I have purchased. From this particular box, I have made Salmon two ways- Baked in the oven with with rosemary and lemon and I tried salmon in the air fryer with a salmon rub. The fish was good with both preparations. I also have tried Haddock baked in a foil packet with a pesto sauce. I don't think I've ever had Haddock and I highly enjoyed the mild flavor of this fish. Lastly I used the Bay Scallops poaching them in a garlic butter sauce and serving them over rice and peas. The scallops had a nice sweet flavor, which I liked. My experience as a whole has been excellent. i will order again. I would love to see some additional boxes with different varieties - i see Mahi is being advertised and I would love to have that option in a box as my husband really loves Mahi and also so I can make some Mahi fish tacos. While I wish I lived on or near the coast so I could get fresh fish regularly, this is a great option for me and I recommend this box based on my experience.
